Jason Collard, Co-Founder, President and CEO
Jason founded WSMN in 2009 as a fan sports radio network. Since then, he has built the business into a one-of-a-kind online radio sports station. In conjunction with the executive team, Jason ensures that operations are running smoothly and that the business if focused and growing. Jason’s primary responsibilities include developing partnerships/alliances and overseeing all business development aspects of the company.
Jason has a wealth of entrepreneurial experience, founding, building and selling several companies over the years. He is also a co-owner of Centrale Vin-Lock, a vehicle etching business for insurance purposes, which runs successfully out of its Laval-based offices. A lifelong self-starter and entrepreneur, Jason was able to bring his love of business and hockey together in launching WebSports Media Network.
Kamal Panesar, Co-Founder, Chief Operating Officer
As a key member of the executive team, Kamal oversees all operational aspects of the company, ensuring efficiency and logistical simplicity through process planning and implementation. Kamal also works as part of the business development team, helping to forge partnerships and alliances.
From starting his own dotcom business to founding, and building, HabsAddict.com into the top independent source for Montreal Canadiens information, Kamal has a proven track record of success. In addition to a passion for writing and social media marketing, Kamal’s expertise lies in the operational and business development domains. He has built businesses and business units from the ground up, worked within existing organizations to help realize multi-million dollar growth, and has always excelled in a leadership capacity.
Corey Collard, Co-Founder, V.P. Talent and Development
As a key member of the executive team, since WSMN opened in 2009, Corey duties include acting as the main liaison between WSMN and the various on-air personalities, helping to oversee the flagship
station, Montreal Hockey Talk, and hosting post-game shows. In addition, Corey is responsible for helping to setup new franchises, to train the various staff members, and to oversee on-air quality for satellite stations.
Corey spent over a decade DJing in various Montreal nightclubs, and was co-host of then Q92′s weekend nighttime radio show, Backspin. He has stage managed comedy shows during the world-renowned ‘Just For Laughs’ comedy festival, and continues to ply those talents for charity events like ‘Strangers In The Night’.
A die-hard Montreal Canadiens fan, and lifelong fan of most major sports, Corey has a solid understanding of the radio and entertainment industry, while possessing an incredible depth of hockey and overall sports knowledge.
